Waupun Varsity Coach: Jason Buchholz   

Coach Buchholz is entering his 7th season as the Warrior varsity soccer coach. He has compiled a career record of 53-80-9 in the previous six seasons. In 2004, led the Warriors to their only conference championship in his second season as the head coach.

Coach Buchholz grew up playing youth soccer in Waupun continuing in high school as a two-year varsity letter winner. He continued his soccer career post high school by helping to resurrect the UWC-FDL (Centaurs) soccer program. From there, played three seasons for Marian University in Fond du Lac. He also was the varsity coach for North Fond du Lac’s inaugural season and coached the Waupun High School JV soccer team for three seasons. While teaching in the Waupun school district, Buchholz was also the head hockey coach for four seasons (two more as a JV coach) and coached JV baseball for five seasons.

JV Soccer Coach: Steve Wilcox

Coach Wilcox is now entering his 2nd season as JV Boys Head Coach. Going 7-10-5 in his first season. He is also the Waupun JV Girls Soccer coach. He has been involved with the game of futbol for 42 years.

He started his career in the youth leagues of Madison. He was a 4 year letter winner, garnering all city honors all 4 years, and all state honors 3 years at Madison Lafollette High School.

Coach  Wilcox went onto a career in the military playing on the USAF International Team in places like England, Germany, Spain, Italy, Turkey , and Japan; just to name a few.

Upon returning to the civilian world he has played with the Chicago Sting -MISL-, Colorado Comets -SISL-, Madison Aztecs, Madison United, Madison 56ers -twice-, and the Las Vegas Metro All Stars.

His coaching career spans from 1985 to his present position at Waupun Area High School. During that time, he was on a State Championship winning staff in 1999, obtaining his National Class E coaching license and then his National Class D coaching license shortly thereafter. As the head coach at Randolph Christian School from 2002-2006 he compiled a record of 66-17-2. He is also a founding member of the Randolph Youth Soccer Association, community league, in the spring of 2000. He created Randolph girls, boys, and coed traveling teams, winning four bronze medals in Badger State Games competition.
